A Word from Malcolm
“Many times we give to the Lord those parts of our lives that we really don’t want anyway. Modern evangelism doesn’t help in this regard. We tell people: “Come to Jesus, give Him your pain, give Him your hurts, give Him your sin.” But that’s not what the gospel of the Kingdom is. The message of the Kingdom is: God demands you — not just your hurts or pains, or your debts, but you. Not just the things you don’t want anyway, but the things you do want: give it all to Him. Give yourself to Him.” (from Purpose: Finding and Fulfilling the Will of God for Our Lives and Churches)
Transformational Theology for Kids in East Asia
One local church in East Asia, already engaged in trainings like Building Healthy Churches, recently began using our new Transformational Theology for Kids designs in their church. Designed specifically for children ages seven to 14 from Christian households, this holistic program quickly became a game-changer for their Sunday School ministry.
Teachers reported that prior to this point, Sunday School lessons had felt very dull and lifeless. But this new approach was a breath of fresh air because it was built with a focus on holistic transformation instead of a transfer of information.
This truth-based curriculum brings life and energy. The children really enjoy it! Before, they didn’t want to come because they felt it was boring and meaningless. Now, the Four Dynamic content is very rich and the truths are clearly laid out, making it easier to teach. The kids are gaining a lot.
Not only did this provide a starting point for the teachers, but the activities incorporated in the lessons left a deep impression on the kids — who would often share what they learned with their parents.
More Stories
- Transformational Theology at Sister L’s Church: “In the past, we knew that we should glorify God, but we didn’t know how to glorify God in our lives. When problems arose, we would just follow our own ideas. However, now when facing problems, we think about what God is like and what God wants us to do according to God’s heart. Because of this, we have many testimonies of glorifying God!”
- Transforming Young Lives Through Sports: “I want to keep in touch with you and stay in this community. The love of God touched me and changed me here. I don’t want to go back to my old lifestyle. I want to keep moving forward. There are so many young people like me, and I want to help them. I don’t want them to fall into the ditch that I fell into. I want to be like these life-coaches and help my peers.”
Rediscover the Holy Spirit!
In a world of confusion and imbalance, many believers either ignore the Holy Spirit or approach Him with hesitation. Some see Him merely as a vague power. Others affirm that He is God but live as if He is distant and inactive. Still others chase emotional experiences, often leading to extremes that discredit His work altogether.
But the Holy Spirit is not a force, nor is He silent or sidelined. He is God. He is personal. He is active today. And He is the One by whom we truly know and walk with God.
Who the Holy Spirit Is offers a clear, biblical and compelling vision of life in the Spirit. Everything God does in your life is by His Spirit: revealing truth, transforming hearts, empowering ministry, and drawing us into deeper relationship with the Father and the Son.
Whether you’ve known the Spirit for years or are just beginning to seek Him, this book will help you cultivate a life in the Spirit that is joyful, empowered and deeply rooted in the truth of God’s Word.
