A Word from Malcolm
The gifts God gives us are not for personal platform, self-expression or personal identity but for strengthening others. A healthy church is a community in which everything we do is for the edification, healing, encouragement and the formation of Christ in one another. Nothing is wasted; everything contributes to growth in Him.
… The purpose of everything we do is the glory of God. When the Church lives this way, God is honored, Christ is exalted and the world sees the beauty of His people walking in His grace, truth and love.
This should be the vision of every local church: to be a Spirit-filled community where every believer participates, every gift is stewarded, every act of service builds up the Body, and all of it results in glory to God through Jesus Christ.
Transformational Theology in East Asia
“These truths became alive in us, bringing freedom and release, allowing us to walk freely before God and others, and live in the light. [Transformational Theology] taught us to pay attention to God in all aspects of life and to be led by Him right now, in our current environment.
We learned to serve God and love others in the here and now. When we completed the assignments designed for each lesson, our lives were truly transformed. Many saw their faith grow and developed a deeper hunger for God!”
More Stories
Transformational Theology at Sister L’s Church: “In the past, we knew that we should glorify God, but we didn’t know how to glorify God in our lives. When problems arose, we would just follow our own ideas. However, now when facing problems, we think about what God is like and what God wants us to do according to God’s heart.”
Transformational Theology for Kids in East Asia: “This truth-based curriculum brings life and energy. The children really enjoy it! Before, they didn’t want to come because they felt it was boring and meaningless. Now, the Four Dynamic content is very rich and the truths are clearly laid out, making it easier to teach. The kids are gaining a lot.”
Sister B’s Transformation: “I have always blamed the people around me for my problems. God has opened my eyes to see my own sinfulness, self-centeredness and willfulness. I need God’s mercy and forgiveness!”
Who Jesus Christ Is: Transformational Theology 4
Because of the centrality of the Lord Jesus to everything, the doctrine of the Person of Jesus—particularly the deity of Christ—has been attacked throughout Church history. However, God has provided an immense amount of evidence throughout the Scriptures for both the deity and humanity of Christ. Amazingly, Jesus is both God and Man!
Because He is God, Jesus created all things. All things exist by Him, through Him, and for Him. Moment by moment, He sustains all things, and all things are ultimately for His glory. Apart from Him, we can accomplish nothing of any value. Truly, everything revolves around Jesus.
But He is also Man! And as a Man, Jesus knows what we are going through and welcomes us into a deep relationship with Himself. Jesus has called us to be His friends!
In this fourth volume of Transformational Theology, Who Jesus Christ Is, we unfold the beauty and truth of one of the most important doctrines in the whole Bible. The Christian life, from start to finish, is union and friendship with Jesus—the One who is fully God and fully Man.
Let us come to Him, and He will give us life!
